After building my first Pyramid Projector I tried it out on my computer screen both in the dark and with the light on. The projector was far more successful in the dark as the light it reflects shows up more when unobstructed by other light sources. The pyramid also needs to be close enough to the screen to capture the reflection of the image but not so close as to squash it and make it hard to see.
The first projector works well but I feel like now I know that it works it’s time to scale it up and try it on a larger screen, not only that but use some of my own work instead of a test video from somewhere online. Now that I know the dimensions are right and that the effect works well I can proceed with tailoring work to this specific medium and scaling it up as I go and use larger screens.
