My first attempt at building a Projection Pyramid didn’t go well as I messed up my measurements. I drew out a design and cut out the pieces to use as templates only to then realize they wouldn’t go together to create the structure I was trying to make. Luckily this was just made from paper and I didn’t waste any materials in the process.

Originally I intended to make a smaller one to start with so that I could test it on my computer screen (though I intend to make larger one to use on much larger screens like a TV for example). I played around with ideas for the material of the Pyramid and my first idea was a CD case because I had one on hand.
However this didn’t go well as although sturdy, it proved difficult to cut even with an electric saw, often shattering and breaking even with the slightest bit of force. I tried multiple ways of cutting but nothing worked so I abandoned the idea of using a CD case.
I’ll have to find a material that is easier to cut and also clear and sturdy enough to stand up on it’s own once assembled. I’ll also have to think about how I’m going to keep it together (sellotape?). I’m also going to have to make better measurements for the pyramid which I should probably have done before rushing into things and making mistakes that could have been avoided.
